Call for Abstracts: Submission deadline: June 15 2009
The 7th Metering, Billing/CRM Australia//New Zealand annual conference is the premier platform for the next generation electricity, gas and water utilities in Australia and New Zealand. Delegates from all over the world will share their experiences on key areas of interest including the emergence of the smart grid and how to prepare for it, improving reading validation and settlement, smart meter infrastructure through dynamic pricing, new communication technologies and standards, advanced energy data management solutions and new approaches in smart metering infrastructure & architecture. Oral presentations are 20 minutes long, followed by a short discussion period.
Metering, Billing/CRM Australia/New Zealand 2009 is now accepting abstracts for the conference. The conference management invites you to submit an abstract. Preference will be given to case studies and presentations from electricity, water and gas utilities/suppliers. No vendor sales pitches will be accepted! Abstracts are due on 15 June 2009.
Abstracts can be submitted for, but are not limited to the following topics of interest:

Guidelines: Speaking slots are 30 minutes in length: 5 minute introduction by the chairman, 20 minutes for the paper presentation and 5 minutes for questions from the audience. Vendors are welcome to submit proposals along with an identified lead utility speaker. Abstracts from consultants will be considered; consultants may also be asked to identify a utility speaker. Sales and marketing presentations are not appropriate for this conference and will not be accepted.
Presentation of more than one paper by the same organisation during the conference is discouraged.
Speaker policy: All speakers at Metering, Billing/CRM Australia/New Zealand will have their conference registration fee waived. Note that it's important that you get your conference materials in by the due dates - we reserve the right to withdraw the free registration if you don't get it in on time. If you're having problems meeting the deadlines, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can work with you to figure it out. Important deadlines:

Submission stages
Your proposal will need to include:

Author’s name and a bio information (include a bit about your qualifications regarding your presentation topic)

Title of presentation (no more than 10 words)

Summary of the presentation (around 200 words)

Write 3 learning objectives for your presentation, focusing on what knowledge participants will gain from the presentation

Who your talk is likely to interest (some keywords)
-
Likely topic of presentation (stream)

Early submission is strongly encouraged. Applicants will be notified of their status by email. By submitting an abstract authors are agreeing to provide Metering, Billing/CRM Australia/New Zealand a copyright release and final publication of their presentation for publication in the conference proceedings.
Selection criteria: Abstracts will be reviewed and judged on the basis of the following criteria: Relevance to the conference theme and theme of the individual sessions Significance of the work/project to a broad audience Originality of work/project, including new concept, innovations or data The completeness of the work/project
